The country is consistently placed in the top 5 most popular destinations by companies offering advice and support to people looking to develop their careers abroad. This is because the country has so much offer visitors and residents: almost limitless things to do and see, a fascinating culture, dramatic rural and urban landscapes, delicious cuisine, and a safe and stable society.
Japan's combination of traditional culture and vibrant popular culture offers a unique blend of experiences to people coming here to live and work. Travel to Nara and Kyoto and you can see beautiful temples and shrines dating back over one thousand years. Visit Himeji Castle in Hyogo Prefecture and get a flavor life in the era of the samurai. The best thing is that traveling is not always needed to encounter Japanese culture. Japan is frequently one of the highest ranked countries in the world for safety and livability. The Global Peace Index 2022, which looks at factors such as the crime rate, political stability, and internal conflict, placed Japan among the top 10 most peaceful countries in the world. Similarly, research conducted by U.S. News, WPP Inc., and the University of Pennsylvania ranked Japan the 6th best country to live in 2022. As well as looking at safety and security, this research also considered factors such as the quality, availability and cost of healthcare and education, access to public services, the unemployment rate, and the general business environment. Of course, another key factor that makes Japan so livable is its people, who are famous for being kind, friendly and helpful.

In my home country of Egypt, I worked as a pharmacist for 4 years. Then, after coming to Japan, I worked for a major IT company as a development engineer. While I enjoyed working in development, I wanted to challenge myself in another IT field. By chance I came across an opening at ISF NET and joined the company. I am mainly involved in the operation and construction of cloud-based mail servers, and I am currently challenging myself to create a serverless environment. At ISF NET, I can do the kind of work I am interested in, take on new challenges, and get gain experience and develop new skills.
